The Stoke Repertory Players are back this summer and are taking things to the beach as they present Bob Larbey's Sand Castles. Following two clashing couples as they make the annual return to their shared sea-side resort of choice, a battle of sunscreen, towels and windbreaks ensues as a new 'renter' unknowingly enters takes the beach hut between the two warring sides.
From the writer of BBC's The Good Life and As Time Goes By, Larbey describes the comedy as being 'about chaos on a British beach, full of strong characters and hopefully a damn good laugh.' Well, we all like to be beside the seaside!
